Fostering a Design/Build Revolution for Healthy, Climate Resilient Places: Yestermorrow Design/Build School's Three Year Vision
North Stage 2:00
For 37 years, the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Waitsfield, VT has been a hub for those on the frontier of ecological design and building. Our latest strategic plan builds on this strength to tackle the intersection of three big issues: climate change, rapid urbanization, and social justice. These issues constitute a “wicked problem” - they cannot be solved in isolation, or with the same mindsets that created them. That's why Yestermorrow is calling for a revolution in design/build education. Join Yestermorrow's President Mike Crowley for a discussion on how design/build education is uniquely suited to address these issues through systems thinking - examining problems in the context of relationships rather than in isolation.
