Becca Balint is a Vermont State Senator from Windham County. In 2017, she was selected to serve as the Senate's Majority Leader. She sits on Senate Committee on Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs Committee and the Workforce Development Council.

A child of an immigrant, Becca was taught at an early age that education is not only the key to getting ahead in life, but is also a fundamental tool for combating prejudice and injustice.  Her tireless work in many different educational settings, including as a teacher in public and private schools and camps, has honed her skills in leadership, collaboration, and flexibility.

After leaving full-time teaching to focus on raising her children, Becca became a regular editorial columnist at the Brattleboro Reformer. She serves on the Southeastern Vermont Economic Strategies (SeVEDS), where she has served on the workforce committee creating the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region. Becca is also a professional coach and works with individuals and groups, including educators and writers. Previously, Becca was the elected town meeting representative for her district, president of a local non-profit board, and a member of the Brattleboro Development Review Board, Becca and her spouse Elizabeth Wohl, a health law attorney, are raising their two children within walking distance of downtown Brattleboro, Vermont.
